In January this year, we received information about a lonely baby bison who was in the Forest Inspectorate in Różańko. His mother probably died in a car accident so the little bison was looking for his herd. Unfortunately, there is no herd in the area. The little bull went near Ostrowiec, where some cows took care of him. This herd became a temporary foster family. Bolek, the little bull’s name, lives with cows for almost 2 weeks.  Last Wednesday, i.e. April 15, 2020 Bison Emergency carried out the action of caching Bolek and transporting him to a free-living herd in Drawsko Forest District.

The farmer, Przemysław Obielak, informed us about the presence of the bison. Additionally, we would like to thank Mr. Przemysław for help in taking care of Bolek and in the action of catching him.
